The 7th Annual Charity Invitational: The Canal at Delacour Golf Club

September 16th, 2011

As indicated below this event raised more money this year for ALS than any of the previous years for an aggregate of almost $60,000 since tournament inception seven years ago. The weather was sunny/warm lots of wind but,there was an all-time high for golfers of 136! The two goals at the beginning of the year were to have a full slate of golfers i.e. 144 and raise $20,000. The actual numbers are very close to both of these goals. This year one of the things that stood out was the number of repeat golfers in this Tournament. Not only is this a Tournament for a very good cause but, you get to renew a lot of old/new acquaintances that you may only see once a year at this Tournament. The Tournament committee was very pleased with this year's event not only in terms of money and golfers but, how every year the Tournament seems to generally improve, run smoother, and service escalates.
